Midway Ford Miami Checks Out the Electric Focus
Late next year if you find yourself in: Atlanta, Houston, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, New York, Orlando, Phoenix, Tucson, Portland, Raleigh-Durham, Richmond, Seattle and Washington,
you might just spot an electric powered Ford Focus.
The Electric Focus will be powered by a 23-kilowatt lithium ion battery. According to AutoNews, "The system uses liquid heating and cooling systems to maximize battery life and driving range." The power will provide a 100-mile range for drivers on a full charge.
The aforementioned markets selected to receive the Focus Electric were based on buying patterns and the abilities of the markets to sustain the extra electric need and local government commitment to battery-powered vehicles.
