For the first time ever, a car brand has revealed their all new redesign using social media. The over 46,000 Facebook “likers” of the Ford Explorer were privy to reveal events throughout the day. Questions were answered, vehicle photos from users were posted to reminisce and the new Explorer was warmly welcomed into the Ford family.

The new Explorer boasts an additional 13 new smart features including: MyFord, Terrain Management System and Active Park Assist. The Terrain Management System lets drivers turn a knob and select sand, snow, mud or everyday driving. For those that like to take an extra load along, towing Capacity has been increased up to 5,000 lbs.
The exterior design demonstrates a modern, masculine look that captures the best elements of the traditional SUV combined with a CUV. The interior of the 2011 Explorer has retained an upscale look and feel to match the cutting edge redesign. Also designed with the family in mind, the Explorer’s interior space combines with excellent stowage and clever features to make this perfect vehicle for all family needs.
As for safety additions, Ford has installed the worlds first Rear Inflatable Seat Belts, making the Explorer one of the safest vehicles on the road. The option of a 2.0-liter EcoBoost or a 3.5-liter TWCT engine allows customers to choose an engine that will meet their needs while getting class-leading fuel economy.
