Edge's 3.5L powerful Duratec 35 V6 engine serves up a
best-in-class 265 hp at 6,250 rpm and 250 lb./ft. of torque at
4,500 rpm. It's quicker 0-60 than a BMW X5 and was named one
of Ward's 10 Best Engines of 2007. In addition, a
low-friction roller-chain cam drive helps Edge meet strict Ultra
Low Emissions Vehicle II (ULEV II) standards. Meanwhile, a
6-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth launch,

Edge's multilink independent front and rear suspension

sensor that directly measures the vehicle's roll-rate at

Ford-exclusive system then determines when and how it will
utilize AdvanceTrac's anti-lock brake system (ABS), traction
control and yaw control to help keep all four wheels firmly
planted.

All-Wheel-Drive System
Edge comes with standard front-wheel drive and an available
active All wheel-Drive System that helps promote traction,
